Ivy and the Smoothie Spat-tacular

Ivy loved bright, happy colours. She loved yummy, fruity tastes even more! One sunny morning, Ivy decided to make something special. She would make the "Rainbow Smoothie of Wonder!" First, Ivy found a big, yellow banana. Plop! It went into her blender. Next, she added five red, juicy strawberries. Splash! Then, a handful of tiny, blue blueberries. Tippy-tap! Last, she peeled a round, orange orange. Squeeze! All the fruit waited inside the blender. "Time to mix!" Ivy cheered. She put the big lid on. Or, she thought she put the lid on. It wiggled a little bit. Ivy didn't notice! She pressed the "on" button. WHIRRRR! The blender roared like a tiny lion. Oh, my goodness! The lid bounced! A strawberry flew up. Splat! It landed right on Ivy’s nose. A blueberry zoomed past her ear. Plink! It stuck to the ceiling. Banana goo squirted out like silly yellow spaghetti! It made funny stripes on the wall. The kitchen looked like a rainbow sneezed! Ivy blinked. Then, she started to giggle. "It's a fruity explosion!" she laughed. Her nose was red with strawberry. Her hair had a dash of orange pulp. The kitchen was a happy, colourful mess. "Time for the clean-up crew!" Ivy declared. She grabbed a soft towel. She wiped the banana goo from the wall. She gently plucked the blueberry from the ceiling. She even licked the strawberry from her nose. Mmm, sweet! Soon, the kitchen was sparkling again. Ivy put the lid on the blender one more time. This time, she pushed it down extra tight. WHIRRR! The blender whirled safely. It made a smooth, yummy drink. Ivy poured her Rainbow Smoothie of Wonder into a tall glass. She took a big sip. "Yum!" she said. She still giggled a little bit, thinking about the great fruit spat-tacular. What a fun, colourful morning!
