Terms of Service
Last updated 14 August 2026 · Draft prepared for review by your legal adviser before launch.
1. Who we are
Fablewinds ("we", "us") is operated by Flash13 Pty Ltd (Australia). These terms govern your use of fablewinds.com and the stories, audio, images and printed books we produce for you.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or older to hold an account. Stories for children are created by the adult account holder, who is responsible for reviewing them. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account.
3. Credits, plans and payments
Stories are paid for with credits, purchased as packs or included in a monthly plan. Credits have no cash value and are non-refundable except where a story fails to generate, in which case the credits are returned automatically. Plans renew monthly until cancelled; cancelling stops future charges at the end of the current period. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Prices are shown in the currency indicated and may include tax where we are required to collect it.
4. Generated content
Stories and illustrations are generated by artificial intelligence from the details you provide, and are checked against age-appropriateness policies before they are shown. Despite our safeguards, generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or unsuitable; please review any story before sharing it with a child. You own the personalised story text and may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not request content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts real public figures or copyrighted characters.
5. Photos and likeness
If you upload a photo to describe a hero's appearance, you confirm you have the right to use it. The photo is processed only to produce a short written description and is then discarded; the description is stored with the story.
6. Sharing
Stories are private unless you switch them to public or invite specific readers. Public stories are visible to anyone; you can make them private again at any time. Invited readers may read online only.
7. Printed books
Printed books are produced on demand by a third-party printer and shipped to the address you provide. Every book is reviewed by us before printing. Because each book is personalised, orders cannot be cancelled once sent to print; if a book arrives damaged or misprinted we will replace it.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt to bypass safety checks, scrape content, or interfere with other users. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), our liability is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the amount you paid for the affected item.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: hamish@flash13.com.
